Roy Greenwald, Ph.D., Principal

Dr. Greenwald serves as a principal and the president of DENS Partners, Inc. Dr. Greenwald has been managing activities at DENS since 1981. Prior to that time he served as Vice President of Donovan Engineering & Construction, and as an Executive Vice President at Hart Corporation.

Before joining Hart Corporation, Dr. Greenwald was associated with the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory (LBL) and Bechtel. Dr. Greenwald has authored several publications in the field of biotechnology equipment design. Also, as a past Chairman of the Industrial Operations Committee for ASME, Dr. Greenwald was responsible for the review and editing of technical papers and presentations and organizing national conferences for ASME. Dr. Greenwald holds several licenses as a professional engineer and as the master for the contracting companies within the DENS Partners group. He is an active member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and Associated Builders and Contractors. Dr. Greenwald received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Charles Pierce III, Principal

Mr. Pierce is the Chief Financial Officer of DENS Partners, Inc. and the treasurer of several of its subsidiaries. Mr. Pierce is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Rhode Island. He has over 25 years of experience in public accounting and has been associated with both national and local public accounting firms. Mr. Pierce was a founder and a senior partner in Pierce and Freitas, Ltd., for fifteen years prior to joining DENS Partners. During his public accounting career, he was involved in both auditing and tax planning with a focus on the construction industry. He has taught accounting and economics at both the American Institute of Banking and Johnson and Wales University. For several years, he was on the part-time faculty of the Rhode Island School of Design, teaching business practices in the Industrial Design Department. Mr. Pierce has been a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the RI Society of CPAs since 1971. During that period, he has served on and chaired several committees of the RI Society of CPA's, including those in taxation and professional practice. Mr. Pierce received his Master of Science in Taxation from Bryant College, and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island.

Brian Walsh, Principal

Mr. Walsh is the Vice President of DENS Partners, Inc. He has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, designing and leading large projects in the biotechnical, pharmaceutical, chemical, specialty manufacturing and power industries. Mr. Walsh's responsibilities have included management of a portfolio of client accounts and projects for DENS Partners worth tens of millions of dollars, with extended project teams of over 150 people. His project resume includes such marquee customers as Lonza Biologics, Biogen-Idec, Pfizer, National Semiconductor, Alkermes, and Genzyme, to name a few. Prior to this role, Mr. Walsh was a senior project manager at Herzog Hart Corporation, an engineering firm specializing in chemical process plant design. Before that, Mr. Walsh worked as a service advisor at Dow Chemical Company and also at General Electric in their utilities division. Mr. Walsh is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society for Testing and Materials, and the American Welding Society. Mr. Walsh received his JD from Suffolk University Law School and a BS in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University.
